The second ‘aha’ moment was learning that today’s technology can detect diseases in normal pets with no symptoms, yet this rapidly evolving research isn’t always reaching busy, practicing veterinarians. We can now diagnose chronic diseases like heart disease, kidney disease and cancer much earlier when therapy is most effective and often less expensive for the pet owner. We need to spread the word. Why wait to treat a disease when you can prevent it from developing in the first place?
My final discovery was that the proper application of a natural therapy (nutrition or nutraceuticals) can lower prescribed doses of many pharmaceuticals and minimize unwanted or serious side effects. The research is sound and the result is better for the animal and the client.
